So you're curious in becoming an image cleaner. Well there's good news, image cleaning is pretty simple.

- an image you want cleaned
Directions:
1. Follow the directions and install paint.net
2. Open up paint.net and select an image you want to clean, for this example the image below will be used..
3. Pick out what exactly you want cleaned, for this example I'll pick the warrior that's slowly approaching Rou.
4. Select your rectangular selection tool as shown, then select then copy the area which you wish to be cleaned.
5. Click on the new image icon at the top left below "File", then press "Okay", click on the blank layer with the select tool then press ctrl+v (or right click --> paste) in order to paste.
6. Click on the "Add New Layer". With the new layer down, you'll be able to start the prep stage of the cleaning process.
7. Note any areas that aren't closed (by that I mean areas where the image spills out), and close them. Be sure that you are on your New Layer and select the pencil tool and close the area. For this example I closed the area where the head was spilling out.
8. Now before proceeding any further, be sure and create a duplicate of the image you want to alter. First highlight the layer you wish to duplicate and press "Duplicate Layer". Once that is complete deselect the bottom layer.
9. Once that is done, select the new layer then press the "Merge Layer Down", with this you'll now be able to advance into the cleaning process.
10. Make a new layer, select it and fill it with the paint bucket with a color that makes the image's color decernable from the background. Move the layer below the image you're cleaning.
11. Select the image you're cleaning, then select the magic wand tool and begin selecting the areas that requires cleaning. You may have to use other tools such as the rectangle / circular / lasso select tool as well to manually clean certain areas. Be sure to pay attention to your tolerance bar.
