Day 363
Today I visited each facility in the base.
However, there seemed to be no particular problem at the «Airport», which is the air base for the refined dragons, in particular also the «Original Mine» and «Residential Area» that is the living area for our members in the settlement did not seem to have any major issue. There is nothing to see.

First we headed to the «Large Farmland» and here we are growing a wide variety of vegetables on land that was taken from the woods.

Finished with the visit of the «Large Farmland», the next location I am headed for is the «Ranch».
Here was where we began with the «Familiar Magic», so livestock like Big Cocco and Boruforu are being kept.
While there I was looking inside the barn, at the occupant's growth condition, and looking through the documents submitted by the members that work here.
To improve the taste of our livestock by even a little, every trial and error the workers went through was written in those documents, as they kept at it day and night at the «Ranch».
This is, the research material that was their result.
The research materials begins with the "taste of the changes due to the food given to livestock", "what to do to make a stress-free environment", "or how the taste is affected by the change created with a level up", "disease list that should be addressed in advance", and so on, they have ranged widely.
I ran my eyes ran over to it thoroughly, and instructed them to continue thereafter.
Everything is time consuming, the only way to learn is through failure.
Members are as in the past, good if given the chance to work at it.

So just say, I decided to eat the caterpillar together for the sake of nostalgia.
Me and Kanami-chan, now a group of 4 demons with Minokichi-kun and Asue-chan, entertain ourselves with the story of the goblin's rise to the elite hobgoblins era.

“三百六十三日目”
今日は拠点の各施設を視察していった。
ただ、精製竜達による空輸の拠点となっている≪飛行場≫は少し前に見て特に問題も無かったし、団員達の居住区となっている≪元採掘所≫や≪住宅地≫も特に見るモノは無い。
大規模な実戦訓練が可能な≪外部訓練場≫は訓練でよく使っているので今更視察するような事も無く、鍛冶師さん達が居る≪工房≫にはつい昨日行ったばかりだ。
最近ではエルフ以外の客も少しだが増え始めた≪パラベラ温泉郷≫ならば視察する価値はあるのだが、少し長くなりそうなので、それはまた後日で良いだろう。
だから今回視察に向かったのは――
ドリアーヌさんや
狼や馬や熊などの≪使い魔≫や、ビッグコッコなど家畜として飼育しているモンスターなどを放し飼いにしている≪牧場≫
ブラックスケルトン機構によるライン生産方式で商品を大量生産している≪工場≫
大森林外産の商品を販売するなど、外で活動する時の為の訓練を兼ねた≪商店街≫
そして少し離れた山を開拓した≪第一鉱山≫
――の五ヶ所である。
まず向かった≪大農地≫だが、ここでは森を開拓した土地に多種多様な野菜を栽培している。
ここで収穫できる野菜は大森林という土地の力による恩恵か、あるいは土壌の改良や精霊石などの効力か、あるいはそれら全てが作用した事により、成長速度も他より早く、何より上質だ。
ここで採れる野菜はどれも美味しく、外でも結構な人気商品になっていて、俺達の財源の一つになっている。
本来野菜などは採れたてが一番美味しく、時間が経てば経つ程味が落ちてしまうのだが、俺達には空輸という手段があるので普通よりも短時間で遠くまで持っていけるという強みがあった。
最近ではブランド野菜として有名になってきたので、有名料理店などと直接契約していこうか、などと考え中である。
手軽で大量に上質な食料を生産してくれるここは、俺達の食料自給率に大いに貢献してくれている、重要な施設の一つだ。
ここで働いているのは主に
誰もが危険な戦闘や面倒な客商売などよりも農作業の方が好きだと言っているだけあって、視察に行った時も汗水垂らしながら、元気に笑顔で働いているところだった。
農作業で鍛えられた肉体をした中年男性が年下の青年と並んで鍬を振り下ろして耕していたり、とあるポレヴィークが目を疑う程の速度で作物を収穫していたり、グリーン・マン達が集まって野菜の品種改良をしていたりする。
職場環境としては悪くないだろう。
そんな≪大農地≫の視察を終え、次に向かったのは≪牧場≫だ。
ここでは≪使い魔≫を始め、ビッグコッコやボルフォルなど家畜達が飼われている。
家畜小屋を覗いたり、成長具合を見ながら、ここで働いている団員が提出した書類に目を通す。
書類には家畜達の味が少しでも向上するようにと、日夜≪牧場≫で繰り返される試行錯誤が記されていた。
つまり研究資料である。
研究資料には『家畜達に与える飼料による味の変化』から始まり、『ストレスのない環境作りはどうするべきか』、『レベルアップによって味が変化するか』、『事前に対処すべき疫病一覧』など、多岐に及んでいる。
それ等にざっと目を通し、以後も続けるように命令した。
どれも時間が必要になる事だし、失敗しながらやるしかない。
団員達はこれまで通り、頑張ってもらえばそれでいい。
ダラダラと気を抜けとは言わないが、結果を出せばボーナスは出すので、やるかやらないかは団員次第である。
ちなみにクマ二郎とクロ三郎もここに居て、視察しに来た俺にじゃれついていた。背中にすり寄って来るので、適当に相手をする。
他にはミノ吉くんのクマ吉や、存在感が薄く出番のないカナ美ちゃんの愛馬などがいるが、それはさて置き。
≪牧場≫の後は≪工場≫に向かったが、機械のように黙々と商品が生産されていく。
一定の品質が保証され、一定の価格で量産できる。
個としてみればここで生産される商品に勝る物は多いのだが、商品としてなら安く提供できるので優れている。
そんな商品を生産するここでは、特に問題はないようだ。
新商品開発用のラインを造ってみたり、ここで働く団員達の要望を聞きながら改良を加えた。
≪工場≫の次に行った≪商店街≫では、特に言う事は無い。
元々ここは外の店舗で働く時の為の施設なのだが、外での情報は常にイヤーカフスで共有され、店員としてどう動くかは外から出戻ってきたり、鍛冶師さん達に指導されたりした先輩団員が後輩団員を指導する仕組みが出来上がっている。
そこを見るだけなので、ある程度見てから≪第一鉱山≫へと向かった。
≪第一鉱山≫までは少し離れているので、骸骨トロッコに乗る事しばし。
森の中を真っすぐ突き抜けるように敷かれた線路の先には、特に他と変わりないそこそこの大きさの山があった。
ここは元々、採掘大好きなアス江ちゃんが最初に見つけた大森林内にある鉱山の一つである。
散歩している途中に見つけたアス江ちゃんが一鬼で数百メートルほど掘り進んだが、特に面白みの無い普通の鉱山だった事と、他にやる事もあったのでしばらく放置されていた。
希少な魔法金属が採掘される訳ではないが、それでも鉱山は鉱山だ。せっかくあるのだから再利用しよう、という事で今は“
アス江ちゃんによって予め深く掘られている事もあり、さほど手間がかからないので、今後はこういう施設も増えていく事になりそうだ。
今後の為に今はノウハウを蓄積し、落盤事故などには気をつける事にしよう。
そうこうして視察が終わり、夕日で大森林が赤く染まる頃、ボリボリと芋虫を喰いながら屋敷の前でダラダラと過ごしていると、【鬼哭門】からミノ吉くんとアス江ちゃんが帰って来た。
丁度いいので、懐かしの芋虫を一緒に喰う事にした。
俺とカナ美ちゃん、それからミノ吉くんとアス江ちゃんの四鬼で、
あと少しで転生してから一年が経つ。
期間で言えば短かったゴブリンやホブゴブリン時代が、どこか遠い昔のように感じられた。
